UEFA Technical Expert Anna Signeul recently led a workshop with managers and coaches from across the Genero Adran Leagues.

Representatives from the Genero Adran Premier, Genero Adran North and Genero Adran South all came together for the first time at Dragon Park for the session with Signeul, who has been a coach for more than 40 years and is still going strong.

The Finland head coach discussed club culture and values and gave the group valuable insight into her coaching career, which has also seen her take charge of teams in Sweden and the Scotland national team.

September 2021 marked the start of a new era in Welsh domestic football as the Genero Adran Leagues got under way, and the restructuring of the women's game was one of the topics of discussion during the session.

The managers and coaches also joined Signeul in looking ahead towards the 2022/23 campaign.

Signeul said: "I thoroughly enjoyed the day with a group of really enthusiastic and curious club and youth national team coaches.

"They had a really open mindset and were willing to be challenged around how to improve the women’s game which I think is so important to driving it forward in Wales.

"With these coaches, I'm sure women and girls across the country will fall in love with football.

"To have the Football Association of Wales Chief Executive Noel Mooney in attendance and showing his support for women and girls' football at the session too was fantastic.

"The future looks really bright for women’s football in Wales."
