Newly-appointed Abergavenny boss Josh Anderson will oversee his first game in charge against his former club Barry Town United this weekend.

Anderson departed Jenner Park in the summer and then joined up with Craig Morgan-Hill, who this week stepped down as Abergavenny manager.

Anderson will be tasked with responding to back-to-back defeats following Abergavenny's opening two games of the new campaign.

The first south Wales derby of the season this weekend sees the top two go head to head as Cardiff City welcome Swansea City to Cardiff International Sports Stadium.

The two sides are separated only by goal difference ahead of this weekend's meeting, with the Bluebirds just edging the Swans at the summit.

The two sides met five times in the league and cup competitions last season, as Swansea recorded three victories compared to the Bluebirds' two.

Iain Darbyshire's side have beat Pontypridd United and Abergavenny this season, while the Swans have recorded wins over Cardiff Met and Barry Town United.

The New Saints are still searching for their first point of the new season and welcome Aberystwyth Town to Park Hall this weekend.

The Saints avoided relegation on the final day of last season, but it's been a difficult start again for Andy Williams' side in their first two games of the new season.

Elsewhere, Pontypridd United and Cardiff Met meet at USW Sport Park, with both teams aiming to build on victories last weekend.

The Dragons responded to their opening day defeat by beating Aberystwyth Town 2-1 last time out and Met earned a 3-0 win over The New Saints.
