PREVIEW

As the competition gets underway this weekend, the fixtures between the Genero Adran North sides are set to be hotly-contested.

CPD Pwllheli welcome Wrexham in a repeat of the two sides’ league curtain-raiser, with the Dragons securing an impressive 6-0 win, while Airbus UK Broughton host Llanfair United.

Llandudno and Bethel face off in a battle between two sides who began their league season in fine form, securing 4-1 and 5-1 victories respectively.

Connah’s Quay Nomads’ performance was a highlight on the opening weekend, as they beat Denbigh Town 14-1, with the two sides going head-to-head once more.

The Genero Adran Trophy’s opening weekend will also see the Genero Adran South sides go up against one another.

Cardiff Bluebelles play host to Cascade, while Swansea University welcome Abergavenny Women.

The two sides faced each other in the first game of the Genero Adran South campaign, with Abergavenny securing an emphatic 9-0 victory.

While Briton Ferry Llanswel play host to Caldicot Town, Merthyr Town welcome Talycopa, who claimed a 4-1 over the Martyrs last week.

Looking to emulate their impressive performance in the Genero Adran Trophy, Stephen Rees expressed that his Talycopa players are relishing the opportunity.

The Talycopa manager said: “Sunday marks another milestone for the club as we compete in the first round of Genero Adran Trophy.

“After last week’s great league start, all players and coaches are really looking forward to the game and testing ourselves again against a very good Merthyr Town side.

“For the club, this season is the result of years of hard work by many coaches, volunteers and players. Also, the club’s fantastic structure and great committee have all led to us competing in this competition this Sunday. We are all delighted to be part of the new era for Welsh football.”
